Winnipeg, MB – Since September 6th, the Federal Conservative Caucus has been gathered in Winnipeg for their annual Summer Caucus Retreat. The Members and Senators have also had the opportunity to experience many of the capitals landmarks and attractions.

"Meetings like these are always a great opportunity to reconnect with colleagues after spending the summer in our ridings, and compare notes on what everyone is hearing from their constituents,” said MP Bergen. "This year’s meeting being in Winnipeg, it was particularly nice because we also get to show off our beautiful province and really make sure that local issues are being heard at the highest levels of the Conservative Party.”

The Summer Caucus Retreat is an annual meeting attended by most, if not all Conservative Members of Parliament and Senators, with the location changing from year to year.

"With only ten days until the House of Commons is set to resume, this was a great opportunity to discuss our priorities for the upcoming fall session,” said Bergen. "Over the summer the Justin Trudeau and the Liberals have really mismanaged a number of situations including the secretive Khadr payout, the illegal migrant crisis and their proposed tax increases on small businesses. We are all looking forward to getting back to Ottawa and getting answers from the Government that Canadians are demanding.”
