Halifax, Nova Scotia –Over the next few days, the Honourable Candice Bergen, P.C., Member of Parliament for Portage-Lisgar and Conservative House Leader will join together with Members of the Conservative Party of Canada in Halifax for the 2018 Conservative Convention.
MP Bergen will have the honour of serving as Co-Chair for the Plenary Sessions on Saturday, where she will moderate the debates and votes on a variety of policies put forward by Conservative grassroots Members from across the country.
“I am delighted to be a Co-Chair for the Plenary Sessions where we will debate and vote on our Policies and Constitution,” stated Bergen. “I look forward to the discussion and debate on many important issues that matter to Conservatives and Canadians.”
As Co-chair, MP Bergen’s role requires her to remain neutral during the debates and votes so she will refrain from voicing her personal views and refrain from voting on the various proposals being debated and voted on during the Convention.
