MP Bergen Puts Boots to the Ground to Visit Constituents Spends day knocking on doors in western area of Portage-Lisgar

Morden, MB – On Wednesday, July 11 2018, Candice Bergen, Conservative House Leader and MP for Portage-Lisgar, spent the day visiting communities in the western part of the riding. MP Bergen knocked on doors in Mariapolis, Somerset, and Altamont.

“Yesterday I had such a wonderful time in Mariapolis, Somerset, and Altamont,” said Bergen. “It was such a beautiful day to be able to stop into different communities and meet with the people I represent here in the riding and in Ottawa. It was very interesting to hear about the different issues that are affecting constituents and be able to address these concerns in a one-on-one setting. I look forward to stopping in more areas throughout the summer.”

MP Bergen finished the busy day with a stop at Somerset Food Bar and Lounge.
“It is so important to support small businesses; I can’t imagine a better way than eating at a local neighbourhood restaurant. It didn’t hurt that the lunch was delicious, it was seriously one of the best burgers I have had in a long time,” concluded Bergen.
