Candice Bergen and Manitoba Conservative Caucus Welcome Andrew Scheer to Winnipeg

On Monday, December 3rd, 2018, Honourable Candice Bergen, Member of Parliament for Portage-Lisgar, and members of the Manitoba Conservative Caucus welcomed Honourable Andrew Scheer, Leader of Canada’s Conservatives to Winnipeg.
Throughout the day, MP Bergen participated in Scheer’s “A Safer Canada: Equipping Police to Protect” announcement and two round tables in regard to guns, gangs and how Canada’s Conservatives will give our police the tools and support they need to keep our communities safe.
“We were able to sit down with important stakeholders and discuss how a Conservative Government would support our police and will give them the resources they need to do their jobs and keep Canadians safe,” stated Bergen. “Justin Trudeau has failed our police and has proven that he’s unwilling to seriously address the increasing gun and gang violence in Canada.”
The day wrapped up with a well-attended Town Hall event, hosted by Andrew Scheer and moderated by Candice Bergen. With no topic off the table, attendees were able to ask questions frankly and directly to the Leader of Canada’s Conservatives and meet him personally at the conclusion of the event.
“It was so encouraging to see so many people interested in hearing our message and meeting our Conservative Leader,” stated Bergen. “Manitobans are tired of Justin Trudeau’s disastrous policies and are ready for change!”
